Dave's Diet

I have personally lost weight, and I don't get upset stomach so I can fast 16 to 18 hours day (this increase stem cell activity and other good metabolic processes) and I stopped bleeding internally when I made this change in life style. Intermittent fasting (time restricted eating to less than 12 hours a day) has also been show to improve symptoms of IBS.

This is just a basic outline of diet here. I will update whenever I can.

What to eat: Fat/Protein > High fat Cheese, Beef, Pork, Chicken (including skin), Turkey, Duck, Fish, Eggs, Almonds, Walnuts, Brazil nuts, Hemp seeds, Sunflower seeds and Whey protein added to Cow or Goat milk. (if you are lactose intolerant Goat milk is much easier to digest and higher in fat content) The higher the fat content the better. However I don't eat: Whey protein, Milk and Soft Cheese/Yogurt products and limit foods with high oxalic acid like Beets, Rhubarb, Spinach, Swiss chard, Endive, Coca, Kale, Sweet potato's, Peanuts and Turnip greens.

I buy hamburger that is 50/50 ground Pork/Beef or grind Bacon or Pork fat/suet to add to ground beef. Eat Fish at least once preferably twice a week (I do roast my fish in seedless tomato paste, then topped with cheese).

Eat: Low carb, low sugar, non starchy vegetables and leafy green vegetables: Raw or steamed: Cauliflower, Cabbage, Water/Garden cress, Bok choy, Broccoli, Brussel sprouts, Collard greens, Kale, Lettuce, Asparagus, Avocados, Celery, Leeks, Onions, Garlic, Horse radish, Arugula, Swiss chard, Spinach, Mustard greens, Peppers, Cucumbers, Zucchini, Radishes, Artichokes, Rapini, Turnip greens, Endive, Dandelion tops, Rhubarb and it's ok to fry all Mushrooms.

Unsweetened Fermented foods like: Pickles, pickled Beets and Sauerkraut. These are very important to change your gut Ph and promote growth of beneficial bacteria types, unpasteurized apple cider vinegar also helps this effect and has enzymes to aid in digestion.

If i really want to lower my blood sugar fast I eliminate Beets, Nuts and Seeds as well all the Limited veggies and fruit listed below this would be closer to a Keto diet helping you go into ketosis where you burn the most fat. I went a bit higher on carbs/sugars. Hence the distinction of Paleo rather than Keto.

Only 1 cooked (cooking reduces lectin content) portion of ether Potatoes, Carrots, Beets, Egg plants, or Tomatoes (don't eat the seeds). If i can avoid them altogether all the better as they are high in carbs/sugars.

1 portion of fruit per day like an Apple or a Banana or an equivalent amount of Blue/Black/Elder/Straw berries, Cherries, Grapes, Bitter melon and a small piece (4 squares of a thin flat bar) of 80% coca Dark Chocolate.

Best cooking / Salad dressing oils: Olive oil, Hemp oil, Lard (Beef or Pork fat), Coconut oil and Butter from animal milk.

I do eat small amounts (1/4 cup) of sun flower seeds (very high in Vit B15 a hard Vit to get in a supplement)

I add cayenne pepper and mustard powder to my home made Hemp oil and Feta cheese salad dressing. It is important to eat some calcium with dark vegetable greens to lower absorption of oxalic acid. Tzatziki sauce is a good dip for your raw vegetables (made with white Greek yogurt, Olive oil or Hemp oil).I also use lemon pepper spice and (lots of) pink or iodized salt to spice up foods. Whatever spices you use is fine as long as it's a dry powder with no added sweetener or vegetable oil.

Drink: Bone broth, Mineral water, Coffee (preferably decaffeinated), Teas, Stevia/Xylitol sweetened vitamin water, Freshly squeezed Lemon, Lime or Calamansi juice added to water.

Avoid: Canned/box Fruit juices, Soda pop, Slushies, Energy drinks, Alcohol, Wine, Beer.

Limit: Brewers yeast and Sea foods other than fish as these are very high in purines and you should get your uric acid/gout levels checked while you are losing weight.

Avoid: Almost anything in a can/box. Exceptions being Canned Fish, Tomato paste and Mushrooms. Food in glass jars isn't exposed to plastic liners. If I can find Mushrooms or Tomato paste in a jar I buy but not always available.

Avoid: Sweet Potatoes, Cashews, Peanuts, Lentils, Beans, Rice, Breads, Pasta, Cereals, Vegetable oils like, Margarine, Canola oil, Corn oil, Soy oil, Grape seed oil, Safflower oil, Peanut oil, Sunflower oil, all added sugars, food additives, preservatives and food coloring.

Avoid: Most Condiments contain added sugars and vegetable oils and dyes. I do make two exceptions for yellow mustard for hamburger and hot sauce for chicken (you do have to enjoy your food). It is better if you can find versions that don't contain added sugars or artificial dye.

It's a good idea to add a fish oil supplement (2 x 1000mg)  for brain health and an all natural vitamin (2 x 1000mg Vit C) + (2 x multi B100 complex) and mineral supplements (2 x Magnesium mineral complex 12 minerals + Vit D) and (2 x 30 ml of liquid Calcium/Magnesium/Boron/Vit D/Vit K) (having hang nails is a sign of low calcium) as most of our food is grown in mineral poor soils with mineral free fertilizers.

I also take 2 garlic oil capsules, 400 iu of Vit E per day (800 if you smoke), extra B12 (1 x 1200 mcg) and biotin (1 x 1000 mcg)
